Work gloves: the new pbm regulation (2016/425)

To meet the requirements of safety gloves in the professional sector, there is a division into three categories
these categories are described accordancing the risk


Category 1: minimal risks

Category I: minimal risks

Gloves designed and manufactured to protect against:

  • Technical documents
  • maintenance products which have low toxicity
  • heat < 50°C
  • not extreme cold
Category 2: moderate risks

Category II: moderate risks

Gloves designed and manufactured to protect against:

  • high risks
  • minimal risks
Category 3: high risks

Category III: high risks

Gloves designed and manufactured to protect against:

  • cold to - 50°C
  • heat >= 100°C
  • irritating chemicals
  • radioactive products
