Prosafco cares
1. ESG-POLICY AT PROSAFCO
Specifically, we at Prosafco pursue an ESG policy. This means that we make clear efforts in the areas of environment, society and governance. We incorporate sustainability into various processes of our business operations and take sustainable options into account in all our decisions. From the choice of our suppliers to the maintenance of our materials and the treatment of our employees.
A dedicated team, the PO2 team, translates sustainable decisions at management level into practical initiatives and goals. Such as Health Month, the 10,000 steps campaign and our bicycle parking facility with a green roof. The PO2 team summarizes all these initiatives in Prosafco's annual sustainable action plan.
2. SDG'S AS A COMPASS FOR PROSAFCO'S SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
In order to translate our ESG policy into concrete goals, we follow the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. These goals strive for a sustainable world by 2030.
In 2023, we used a materiality index to examine the areas in which Prosafco has the greatest impact. We asked employees and suppliers about 19 topics and compared their answers with the vision of our management. This resulted in five priorities:

✔ Operational reliability
✔ Carbon footprint
✔ Transparent communication
Based on this, we will focus on six SDGs. Because both our company and society are evolving, we will repeat this analysis regularly and continue to improve our strategy.

1. Prosafco & CSR
At Prosafco, it's all about people. Helping people get home from work injury-free. For us, that means safe and feeling good. That is why we pay a lot of attention to dealing sustainably with people . With our employees, our customers and our suppliers. Respect and transparency are central to all our relationships. But for us, social sustainability goes beyond our direct contacts. It is also about society. And doing your bit for it. By creating a safe working environment, we contribute to a healthy society. A society where well-being is the top priority.
PO2-team
At Prosafco there is an entire team full of enthusiasm who is committed to CSR. The name PO2 was born from O2 = Oxygen and the P = Prosafco. CSR is therefore part of our core business. It is not a charity or good cause. We really want to consciously do sustainable business and take responsibility for the effects that our company can have in the value chain. We strive for a positive impact and continuous improvement, which is why this is also integrated into our business strategy.
Internal quality assurance
We use the ISO quality management system and have been ISO9001 certified since 2012. This means that customers can always have peace of mind regarding the quality, reliability and safety of our products and services. These are tested annually against the applicable standards.

Febelsafe
This is the Belgian Federation of suppliers and service providers on safety and well-being at work. As a result, we are in the front row to learn about changes in standards and safety regulations, as well as product innovations, and can translate this to customers. Prosafco is also a board member of Febelsafe.
Prebes
Prebes is a non-profit organisation with members active in the fields of well-being at work and corporate social responsibility. Prebes provides prevention advisers with opportunities for further training, meeting each other, sharing experiences and making contacts. This is the place for sharpening professional knowledge related to safety and well-being at work.
VOKA Charter Corporate sustainability
Participants voluntarily enter into a commitment and propose annual actions around 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These actions are then evaluated by a committee of external experts.
We were already doing initiatives on corporate sustainability and decided in 2014 to formalise them through participation in this charter. It only made us even more active on this front.

Ecovadis
Prosafco has had an EcoVadis Business Sustainability Rating since 2018. EcoVadis ranks companies based on four CSR themes: ‘Environment’, ‘Labour & Human Rights’, ‘Ethics’, and ‘Sustainable Procurement’.
The aim of the CSR methodology is to evaluate the quality of a company's CSR management system based on the policies, measures and results that are relevant according to the industry.

Care 4 Safe
C4S is an initiative of FBT and Febelsafe to better protect the user of PPE being serviced, throughout the lifetime of the items being used.
Because not only the choice of the right personal protective equipment is important. Correct maintenance of the item and the related service also play an important role.

GREEN SUSTAINABILITY
1. ECOLOGICAL COMMITMENT
Floods, extreme heat, severe storms ... The effects of global warming are more visible than ever. We cannot ignore this. And certainly not as a company. We at Prosafco are convinced that companies have a significant impact on climate change. That is why we take responsibility and make active efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. Only in this way do we guarantee not only a safe working environment for today's professionals, but also for generations to come.
EVERYONE CYCLING
At Prosafco, we want to motivate our employees to cycle to work as much as possible. Our mobility study showed that 90% of our employees live within a feasible cycling distance. Moreover, 80% are also considering coming by bike effectively. In 2022, 22 employees regularly chose cycling for commuting to work; in 2023, 28 did. To make it as comfortable as possible for our cycling employees, we installed a bicycle shed with a charging point for electric bicycles (or scooters) at our new headquarters.
BIODIVERSITY: SUSTAINABLE BICYCLE PARKING
More greenery, less metal and asphalt. That too is investing in a sustainable future. That is why we opted for a bicycle shed with a green roof at our new head office. The maintenance of this piece of greenery is in the hands of Naturoof. Together we believe that even small surfaces can make a difference. Our green roof is already of much greater value to bees, butterflies and other insects than a metal alternative. We also created a green rest and dining area with garden benches around the bicycle shed. And at the entrance to our building we planted feather grasses.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
A sustainable product requires sustainable packaging. That is why Prosafco uses packaging made of corrugated cardboard with the FSC label to ship our products. Because corrugated cardboard is easily recycled. And the FSC label shows that the wood comes from a sustainably managed forest. Of course, the packaging of our goods is not always in our own hands. So even when we choose suppliers, we will pay attention to the sustainability of their packaging.
TAKE CARE!
Together with GAIA circular, we have end-of-life work and protective clothing and safety shoes collected from our customers via Resources Boxes. Our aim is to recycle our end-of-life products as much as possible. Through a tailoring company, the collected items are sorted cost-effectively, dismantled and new raw materials are made from them. INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENERGY USE
When we moved from Hoge Barrièrestraat in Roeselare to the Ovenhoek industrial estate in 2022, the sustainability of our new headquarters was an important consideration. We installed solar panels. To heat the warehouse and provide hot water for our showers, we use residual heat from the MIROM heating network, the nearby incinerator. Our ventilation units are equipped with a heat wheel. We installed triple charging stations for electric and hybrid cars. We installed a rainwater well with filters and a recovery system.GREEN EVENT
Prosafco organized the first Green Event, which focused on the transition from a linear to a circular economy. Together with partners Ansell, Fristads and Allshoes, it was a day full of inspiring keynotes and concrete action points related to sustainability. In the future, we want to organize more events like this to inspire other companies.3. Recycled
Duurzaamheid begint bij bewuste keuzes. Daarom zetten we bij Prosafco ook in op gerecycleerde werkkledij en materialen. We breiden ons assortiment uit met producten die vervaardigd zijn uit gerecycleerde grondstoffen — zonder in te boeten op veiligheid, kwaliteit of comfort.
Met deze aanpak verminderen we samen de ecologische voetafdruk van de werkvloer, én geven we gebruikte materialen een tweede leven.
RGreen
RGreen™ is the label through which Groupe RG is shaping its commitment to a more sustainable future. This label allows customers to choose more responsible products and allows us to promote the eco-design initiatives of our partner manufacturers.RGreen™ assigns a score from 0 to 4 planets to each product according to the following environmental and social criteria:
The existence of an assessed CSR approach by the manufacturer, certified by an independent body.
Product with label OR ISO 14001 certification for the production site.
The place of manufacture of the product within a 2000 km radius of France AND the country is in the IPE 2022 Top 30.
At least 15% of the product is made of recycled or organic materials.
